Seylan Bank celebrates World Children’s Day with specially devised Game App

Seylan Bank is celebrating World Children’s Day this month with the launch of a specially developed Game App called ‘Tikiri Gift Rush’ which could be played on a computer, an android smart phone device or on Facebook.
Seylan Bank thus goes on record as being the first ever to launch such a Game Application in Sri Lanka’s banking industry.
This is an interesting game where the player has to catch coins falling from the sky and collect them into a net. As the coins accumulate, the player gets the gifts available in the Tikiri Gift scheme and moves on to the next slab. These gifts are purely hypothetical and are only a part of the game.
Deputy General Manager Marketing Tilan Wijeyesekera said: “Seylan Bank is happy to blaze a trail and treat the children of Sri Lanka with a specially developed Game App of this nature. With rapid advancements in modern technology, Game Apps are fast becoming the buzz word in society. This particular Game App has a dual function. Apart from its entertainment value, it also serves as a tool to encourage the savings habit among children. World Children’s Day and the entire month of October thereby takes on a different dimension and will promote the savings habit as a parallel concept.”
All Seylan Tikiri’s account holders have the option of receiving the coupon with the Game Apps downloading instructions free of charge by depositing any amount to their children’s Tikiri account during the month of October 2013.
Furthermore potential customers (parents with children below 15 years of age) could also avail themselves to this offer by visiting the nearest Seylan Bank branch and opening a Tikiri account.
Given its appeal to children, this novel Tikiri Gift Rush Game App is expected to be a hit at Seylan’s numerous Student Savings Centres throughout the country.
