  • With ‘The Amazing Spider Man 2’
Sri Jinananda Children’s Development Centre children aged 4 to 18 years,  sat amazed, on the edge of their seats, at the Majestic Cineplex Platinum 3D Cinema Complex, as Spider-Man burst across the screen making his way from skyscraper to skyscraper into their hearts.  It was the worldwide screening of ‘The Amazing Spiderman 2’ and the children from the Sri Jinananda Children’s Development Centre, Wellawatte were made to feel very special, in an initiative from Sampath Cards, the ‘Responsible Choice’. Beaming faces boarded a fully air-conditioned Double Decker luxury bus with Sampath Team members, preparing the children for an experience of a lifetime. Awe and wonder shone on their faces as they braced for the movie with their 3D spectacles and watched the action progress. From time to time, some children preferred to look through the top of their spectacles for fear of the action being too real. The action on Monday, 26 May was not confined to the theatre. As the curtains closed, the children headed for KFC – Marine Drive, Wellawatte, where they crunched to their heart’s desire on their individual meals and watched the setting sun melt into the horizon. Between the meals their poured out their emotions and excitedly chattered about the Spider-Man saga that had gripped their imagination. This entire project was initiated and carried-out by Sampath Cards, to add a sparkle of delight to these children. Sampath Bank was also the Platinum Sponsor in the screening of Amazing Spider Man 2 in Sri Lanka and Cardholders had a special offer where for every three tickets purchased o was given free, exclusively for Sampath Credit Cardholders.
