Recognising Corporate Sustainability in Sri Lanka for the 10th consecutive year

The Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2013 will be celebrating its 10 years of Corporate Citizenship in November this year. The award evaluates its applicants’ interactions with its Stakeholders, Environment, Employees, Customers, Suppliers, Community, Government and Shareholders.
Besides the main awards, three sector awards for Sustainability are for Economic, Social, and Environmental while the category awards for the best performance are under Environmental Management, Environmental Integration, Environmental Value Addition, Employee Relations, Customer Relations, Community Relations, governance, Financial Performance and Economic Contribution.
In expanding the number of awards and to appreciate the competitive sustainability performance of a business entity, the ‘Grand Slam Award’, will be awarded to a business that wins the Best Corporate Citizen Award in 5 different years.
Organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the main objective of this event is to recognise Corporate Sustainability in Sri Lanka and encourage businesses to adopt best practices to create goods and services, using processes and systems that ensures maximum utilisation of resources in an efficient manner, good labour practices for the workers, minimise environment pollution for workers and consumers and enhance the wellbeing of all communities.
