The Chief Guest at the event was Jaffna University Vice Chancellor, Professor Wasanthi Arsaratnam. People’s Bank Chairman W. Karunajeewa thanked all the staff members for showcasing their artistic talents in the wake of the peaceful environment that was brought about with the conclusion of a 30 year war.
He further stated that the staff of People’s Bank while being extremely talented and active, that their efforts showcasing their skills on one stage disregarding any race or religion barrier was a good sign for the future of the nation.
Adding his comments, People’s Bank CEO/GM N. He added that the satisfaction received from such an act will spur on the bank to serve the people with strength and commitment in the future.
The handing out of certificates for the Art and Crafts competition held simultaneously with the festival was carried out by the Vice Chancellor of the Jaffna University, Chairman and General Manager of People’s Bank together with the Corporate and Executive Management staff of the bank.
