Tuesday 24th January, 2012, Colombo: What began with a variety of CSR projects which saw the refurbishment of Ward 13 at the Maharagama Cancer Hospital and Ward 12 at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, NOLIMIT today announced the completion of its 3rd project in the series – the revamping, maintenance and running of ward no.4 at the Kalubowila General Hospital.
The ward was ceremoniously re-opened under the presence of management of NOLIMIT together with Dr. Anil Jasingha, Director of the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.
The newly refurbished ward, which is dedicated to female patients, now includes a brand new Pulse Oxygen Meter, colour washed wards, brand new curtaining, lighting and window fittings as well as new furnishings, décor and plasma televisions – all making the ward a brighter, more modern environment in order to enhance the care that staff can provide to its patients. NOLIMIT disclosed that the much-needed refurbishment of the ward was made at an investment of approximately 1 Million and was funded through generous donations to the Hospital by NOLIMIT along with a guarantee to look after all the requirements, interests and needs of the ward in the future.
Speaking at the re-opening, General Manager of NOLIMIT, Mr. Amjad Hassan stated that: “The Kalubowila Hospital provides an invaluable service to the people of the entirety of Colombo and hence deserved our corporate support. This is our third effort in a series of social responsibility projects towards hospitals alone, and ensuring that this ward at the Kalubowila Hospital is running effectively and efficiently without any problems is what we at NOLIMIT will continue to do in the years to come.”
