Nations Trust Bank has launched a unique initiative to support those affected by the recent floods and landslides, in the recovery of their lost property title documents (deeds).
“We are deeply concerned on the severity of the recent flash floods that wreaked havoc throughout the country. As a concerned responsible citizen, we have identified the loss of vital documents as a key issue faced by numerous communities,” explained Nations Trust Bank Deputy General Manager Legal/Company Secretary Theja Silva.
Through this initiative, members of the public can now recover lost deed documents at no fee from any of the Nations Trust Bank branches island wide. Any individual can provide his or her particulars to the respective bank officials and thereafter the bank will advise them on the process of collecting a certified copy of their lost deed.
“Nations Trust’s CSR strategy is focused on sustaining community engagement – disaster relief is a key pillar. This initiative amplifies our aspiration to urgently provide long-term and effective support to affected communities island wide,” he further added.
