MCB Bank, one of the fastest growing foreign banks in the country, has conducted several Ifthar events during the month of Ramadan.
The latest was organised by its Kandy Branch on 23 July at White House Restaurant, Kandy with the presence of the bank’s officials including Business Head Reza Rahim, Head of Islamic Banking Bahar Nayan, Regional Manager Sumedha Alahakoon and Kandy Branch Manager Lasith Vithana.
The event was graced by religious leaders and many other distinguished invitees with the objective of enhancing unity among all religious and ethnic groups in the area during the month of Ramadan.
MCB Bank commenced operations in 1994, bringing its international and regional expertise to Sri Lanka. Celebrating 20 years of presence in the country, the bank has now extended its branch network to Fort, Pettah, Maradana, Colpetty, Wellawatte, Kandy, Galle and Batticaloa.
