Markss Healthcare, one of the fastest growing pharmaceuticals companies in Sri Lanka recently conducted a medical clinic at the Gunesekara Children’s Home in Nawala, which screened the children to detect any medical issues that need attention.
The clinic, lead by Dr. Vijith Gunesekara, carried out primary medical examination on the children whilst Markss Healthcare provided the necessary drugs, nutraceuticals and other supplies.
Children who required further medical treatment were directed to Lady Ridgway Hospital in Colombo and Teaching Hospital at Kalubowila.
Markss Healthcare, renowned for its continuous efforts contributing towards building a healthy Sri Lankan society, conducted the clinic for the third consecutive occasion as a part of its corporate social responsibility endeavour, ‘Markss Wellness Campaign’.
The company on a steady progress also conducts workshops for medical consultants, doctors, nurses and pharmacists with the aim of enhancing their knowledge and standards.
Commenting on the medical clinic conducted at the Gunesekara Children’s Home, Director of Markss Healthcare Dr. S. Mahakalanda said: “As a responsible business entity, we consider conducting this clinic for the children our responsibility towards the society.
