Maliban carries out special CSR project in Welikanda area

Maliban, the premier biscuit manufacturer, in collaboration with the 23rd Infantry Division of the Sri Lanka Army, conducted a special CSR initiative in the Mahindagama and Kadawathmaduwa in the Welikanda Divisional Secretariat. Many top officials from both Maliban and the 23rd Infantry Division participated during the occasion which saw many families in the respective areas receiving much needed relief.
As part of the CSR initiative, 350 five-litre water bottles, 17 of 1,500 litre, 25 of 60 litre, 100 of 20 litre and 168 dry rations for 168 families in Kadawathmaduwa were distributed.
“Maliban’s social responsibility reaches far greater than philanthropy and we always seek to uplift the underserved communities in the country who are manly affected through the prevailing drought. This is a concern for us and every employee of Maliban got together and carried out this relief effort,” said Bandula Perera, Group General Manager – HR and Administration.
