Kotmale, together with Sirasa FM, a member of the Capital Maharaja Organization, organised the Kotmale Sirasa FM Samanala Samuluwa 2016 at the Vihara Maha Devi Park on 1 October in celebration of World Children’s Day 2016. Over 3,000 children and parents throughout the island participated in the day’s activities.
Children were able to take part in a number of exciting activities, including singing, dancing, acting, and viewing a display featuring remotely controlled drones. The cadet squad of Ananda College presented a special display to entertain the participants as well.
Speaking about the initiative, Kotmale Brand Manager Adhil Hafiz said, “We have been celebrating World Children’s Day over the years with regional and provincial programs carried out throughout the country. However, this year we decided to partner with Sirasa FM and organise a national level activity to commemorate this special day. Kotmale is Sri Lanka’s most trusted dairy brand and we are committed to nurturing our future generations with best quality dairy products made from fresh milk sourced from our own dairy farms.”
