Leading Insurer Janashakthi conducted a free emergency vehicle assistance service through its ‘Apada Sevaya Program’ for pilgrims in Anuradhapura during Poson season and in Mannar during the Madhu festival. A mobile team of highly skilled technicians, along with tow trucks and spare parts, were positioned in Anuradhapura and Mannar during the pilgrimage season. This year, Janashakthi Apada Sevaya assisted 44 vehicles in Anuradhapura and rescued 48 motorists in Mannar. “Pilgrims praised our program for helping them in their time of need, so that they have peace of mind to get the vehicle into running condition quickly. This service is provided not only for vehicles with policies from Janashakthi Full Option, but all other vehicles irrespective of whom they were insured with,” said Kaushala Amarasekara, Senior Brand Manager for Motor of Janashakthi. The Janashakthi Full Option technical team repaired malfunctions in engines, break and clutch, battery failures, patched tires and even towed vehicles that broke down in heavily congested areas, a service that was greatly appreciated not only by motorists but also by the Traffic Police. “Our mobile team helped motorists to get vehicles back to their running condition, and thus enabled devotees to continue their journey without inconvenience. Those who registered for the service simply had to call Janashakthi Full Option technical team for technical assistance whenever their vehicles broke down during their respective pilgrimages,” Amarasekara added. In addition to the Janashakthi Apada Sevaya program, the company also carried out a comprehensive awareness campaign on road safety and accident prevention through the flagship brand ‘Full Option’.
