Hameedia refurbishes Ward 13 of Maharagama Cancer Hospital

Adhering to its legacy of making lasting contributions to the community, leading menswear specialist Hameedia refurbished Ward No. 13 of the Maharagama Cancer Hospital to offer enhanced services to patients. 

The refurbishment of the hospital is one amongst many such initiatives undertaken by Hameedia, which undertakes a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project every month. The refurbishment more importantly has created a positive atmosphere.

Hameedia encourages employee volunteerism and keeping in line with this the company’s staff participated in this cause whole-heartedly over two weekends to complete the refurbishment. The company has conducted many other CSR activities in the past, such as clean-ups, flood relief and aided those affected by the Kosgama explosion. It has also made positive contributions to schools, ayurveda hospitals and elders homes to enhance the facilities for the residents. Its projects have helped to achieve social integration and infused new hope for the beneficiaries.
