Last week over 700 Fonterra Brands Lanka employees took part in a ‘shramadana’ that involved painting and clearing at 11 schools and one children’s home in the Biyagama region.
Principal O.K.D.C.P. Nanayakkara welcomed the efforts of the team that visited her school, the Subashie Rajakeeya Maha Vidyalaya. “We sincerely thank Fonterra Company on behalf of our staff, students and parents for their endeavours in cleaning and colouring the school premises including the Principal’s office, meeting room, two classrooms, staff room, First Aid room and the school’s boundary wall.”
Fonterra’s Associate Director of People and Culture, Dinusha Jayamanne, at Fonterra Brands Lanka said the afternoon was designed to give the Fonterra Brands Lanka team the opportunity to give back to the local community in the area.
“We have a really motivated team of passionate employees and we all really enjoyed the opportunity to support our local community where our office and factory is based,” she said.
