Sri Lanka’s only computer manufacturer EZY,  who revolutionised the computer by lanuching the EZY Slimtop and thereafter went on to introduce the world’s smallest computer, EZY Slimtop Smart, successfully concluded their newest installation of computers by concluding the delivery of the second Computer Lab of Trinity College Kandy, a few days back.

EZY, who first provided computers to Trinity College in 2010 when they completed the installation of 50 computers to their primary school lab through their Master Reseller Browns PLC, were successful in winning the bid proposal for the upper school lab by going through a series of presentations to the project committee.

“EZY’s unwavering pledge is to make computers ‘Simply Affordable’. In-keeping with this doctrine, our team concentrates on delivering a quality computer of the highest international standard at a price that can be afforded by many Sri Lankans.  In our vision to ensure that every Sri Lankan will have accessibility to a computer; information technology training for students play a pivotal role, in order to fulfil our objective. It is projects such as this that would definitely pave the path for us to achieve this goal,” said EZY Infotech Group CEO/Managing Director Shafraz Hamzadeen.

The project which can be considered a next generation computer lab was spearheaded by the Alumni of the 1987 class of Trinity College who were instrumental in designing the requirements and sponsoring this project.

Project Chairman Fazley Azhar said they selected EZY Infotech to partner with, mostly due to, “EZY’s aggressive involvement in computer product research. The fact that EZY has many computer systems installed in leading schools and academic institutions together with their nationwide service network, were amongst the key factors that assured the committee of EZY’s capabilities.”

Tektron Corporation, an authorised reseller of EZY Computers, enabled the project by supplying 40 units of EZY Optimax Computers with Microsoft Windows license, the entire network infrastructure with server installation along with the deployment of classroom management software for teacher use, while experienced and skilled engineers from Tektron provided all the necessary training and backup support to ensure the project’s continued success.

EZY who introduced themselves to the Sri Lankan market with the launch of the revolutionary slim-in-size, slim-in-price EZY Slimtop, which saved more than 60 per cent of power consumed by an ordinary PC, introduced the Optimax for a segment that requires prime computer efficiency to optimise their day to day work. EZY also provides the EZY Ultimate, for users who require the ultimate performance from a computer.

Having equipped Trinity College with the latest state of the art EZY PCs, EZY Holdings looks forward to empowering more schools and academic institutions with their computers, thus making available to all children island wide, the wonders of IT.
