Serving the community they operate in has always been an integral part of Elephant House Ice Cream. Some of the projects they undertook have been the reconstruction of the much loved Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo and Sri Subramanium Park in Jaffna.

In a more recent initiative, Elephant House Ice Cream took the responsibility of renovating the children’s park in Matara.

“As brand that has won the hearts of children of this nation we have a duty and a responsibility towards them. And I’m pleased to say that this is one of the many initiatives taken by us to give the children what they need to nurture them,” said Neil Samarasinghe, Head of Frozen Confectionery, Elephant House Ice Cream.

The renovated park was opened and handed over to the public by Member of Parliament Sanatah Jayasuriya and Samarasinghe at a recently held ceremony.
