DFCC Vardhana Bank, spreading happiness on Children’s Day

Children’s Day was commemorated on 1 October 2013 and DFCC Vardhana Bank (DVB) celebrated it with grand scale enthusiasm. DVB sponsored The World Children’s Day Program, which was held at the S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike College, Kurunegala that saw a total of 1200 children. This event was organised by DVB’s with its Kurunegala Branch.
Present at this event were the Principal Wijayananda Dharmasena, teachers of the school, parents, the Kurunegala Branch Manager Samarakodi Godakande and other officials from both the bank’s Head Office and the Kurunegala Branch.
This was the second consecutive year in which DVB organised this Children’s Day event at the S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike College. A day of edutainment, the children enjoyed fun filled activities that included an interactive art competition, quiz competition and an engaging talent show.
The winners were awarded gifts and certificates and everyone went home contended looking forward for a similar experience in the following year too.
