COSLAM holds ‘Sri Lanka Malay Language Day’

Conference of Sri Lankan Malays (COSLAM) organised ‘Sri Lanka Malay Language Day’ and an awards ceremony for winners of the Hari Bahasa Melayu Competitions Oratorical, Essay and Malay Language at Zahira College, Colombo recently. 



It was held under the patronage of COSLAM President T.K. Azoor.

The Chief Guest at the ceremony High Commissioner of Malaysia in Sri Lanka Azmi Zainuddin and MP A.H.M. Azwer distributed awards and cash prizes for winners of the contest. A song on Dr. T.B. Jayah by Kalasoori Stanley Omar and his orchestra featured, with Winston Rajudeen, Ridhwan, Adjumain, Shazla Abbas and Nelufa Samath participating.  Members of Malay Associations Kandy, Puttalam, Colombo, Hambantota, Nawalapitiya and Matale were participated.
