The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is organising a briefing seminar on the ‘Best Corporate Citizen Award 2011’ on Friday, 17 June 2011, from 8:30 a.m. onwards.
In accordance with its commitment to continuous improvement, this year the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has incorporated principles of the Global Reporting Initiative to the Best Corporate Citizen Application.
The expert panel of evaluators has graciously agreed to brief the audience on the information required in the application form and guide prospective applicants on how to complete it to enable them to present a better application.
Apart from the Best Corporate Citizen Award, applications will also be called for ‘Special CSR Projects’ carried out during the course of last year. Awards will be presented to businesses that have undertaken special philanthropic projects in a diversity of areas such as education, health, disaster relief, environment etc.
As the objective of the BCC Award is to promote best practices and to encourage the adoption of sustainable business practices, the chamber invites those interested to participate at the seminar and identify how you may improve your business competitiveness through adoption of some of these practices. Applying for the awards will give you further insights to improve your business.
The application forms will be available at the seminar and members of the organising committee and the expert panel of evaluators will be available to clarify any issues during the open forum.
Please contact the Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for registration and further details.
