Cathay Pacific works with ACCC Children Development in Ragama

Staff of Cathay Pacific Airways in Colombo visited ACCC Children Development Centre in Ragama to clean the premises, paint cupboards, walls and to polish the floor of the hall area. On the same day, the staff also arranged a lunch for the children. They enjoyed the lunch and were very happy about their home getting a new and revamped look. To celebrate the festive season, Santa Claus distributed school bags, stationery and sweets to the children. They had a wonderful time with Santa and sang carols with the Cathay Pacific Airways staff present. ACCC Children Development Centre in Ragama provides shelter, meals, education and other facilities required to little children. There are about 33 children including 20 boys and 13 girls. All the children are between the ages of four and twelve years. In the recent years, Cathay Pacific Airways has worked closely with few organisations which look after less fortunate children here in Sri Lanka. The airline believes in enhancing the quality of life in the communities they operate. Country Manager – Sri Lanka & Maldives Anna Choi stated, “We were delighted to see the enthusiasm when we visited the children’s home to paint and polish their hall area. They were also surprised and delighted when Santa Clause distributed gifts to them. We intend to continue to support this facility so that the children receive our fullest support to help them receive a better education and life in future.” Cathay Pacific Airways is an award-winning Hong Kong-based airline offering scheduled passenger and cargo services to more than 188 destinations in 46 countries and territories around the world.
