HSBC in partnership with The School Relief Initiative (SRI) and the Department of Education in Galle recently helped set up fully equipped libraries in Kudagammana 01 and Kudagammana 03 schools located in the Tissamaharama.

The project undertook the renovation of these libraries with the inclusion of necessary library equipment and material ranging from school textbooks and storybooks, including translations of international classics such as Harry Potter and Tin Tin to enable the learning of under privileged children and enhance their knowledge by reading. In addition, colouring books with quality illustrations were donated to facilitate the learning of primary level students.
