Aitken Spence and MMBL join hands to develop ‘Reading Room’

The establishment of the Deshamanya N.U. Jayawardena Reading Room for scholars and students of Buddhism at the Bambalapitiya Vajirarama Temple will commence shortly. This project is part of the restoration of the historic library of this temple.

The reading room is being established by the N.U. Jayawardena Charitable Trust in memory of the late Deshamanya N.U. Jayawardena. MMBL Money Master a joint venture of Aitken Spence PLC and Mercantile Merchant Bank Ltd also contributed with a donation for the work of the Deshamanya N.U. Jayawardena Reading Room project recently.
