A free Ayurveda Clinic was held to mark Elders’ Day on 5 October at the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital, Mount Lavinia.
Patients with chronic age-related illnesses like back and spine aches, joint pains and other illnesses like diabetes attended the clinic for free consultations. Medicine prescribed to these patients were also given at a discount of 15% while admission on Elders’ Day to the hospital were at a discount of 20%.
Siddhalepa holds a series of Ayurveda clinics to spread awareness about age related health conditions and diseases like diabetes, kidney disorders, rheumatism and arthritis. Ayurveda physicians are available throughout the day for consultation and conduct awareness programs on how to manage these conditions together with proper Ayurveda treatment.
Of the hospital’s medicine, 90% used for treatment is made locally using natural herbs and 100% natural ingredients. All medicines conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
The hospital’s OPD service operates on a daily basis and an experienced team of consultants are available regularly for consultation, in addition to general physicians who are on duty from 07.00 a.m till 08.00 p.m. The hospital also has a 24-hour ambulance service.
Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital offers treatment for a wide range of illnesses and health conditions including diabetes, kidney problems, dermatology, rheumatism, skeletal issues, gynaecology, paediatrics, snake bites, urinary tract conditions, asthma and catarrh.
Most of the country’s medical insurance schemes are available at the hospital ranging from Health Plus by Sri Lanka Insurance, Agrahara for all Government employees, Suraksha for schoolchildren, Janashakthi Insurance, Health Net by Asian Alliance, Union Assurance, Suwa Sampatha by Ceylinco Insurance, AIA Insurance, Hayley’s AIG Insurance, Amana Takaful Insurance, and the hospital medical insurance scheme of the Employees Trust Fund Shrama Suwa Rakawarana.
