Maliban Biscuit Company launched another program in the series of Maliban Yahagunaye Uttama Pranama programs, centred in Anuradhapura.
The Maliban Biscuit Company has been constantly committed to strengthening the lives and futures of Sri Lankan children. A noteworthy mission has been put forward to identify gifted children with various difficulties who do not meet the task of improving their nutritional needs and providing quality education. The objective of this program is to provide children with the necessary support to succeed in their educational journey.
A program was recently implemented as a part of the ongoing social care to distribute essential school supplies to gifted children in Anuradhapura who were unable to achieve their educational goals since they are suffering from various difficulties. This event was held in front of Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi premises in the presence of Anuradhapura’s District Secretary, R.M.G. Senaratne, representatives of the Maliban Company, children’s parents, and a large number of devotees.
Commenting on the occasion, Maliban Regional Sales Manager Nishantha Karunarathna stated that Maliban, as a brand that has grown with the people, hopes every Sri Lankan child receives a successful education. Maliban is an organisation that is dedicated to bringing that dream to fruition.
“We have launched numerous programs to encourage children who are struggling to meet their goals, particularly those who suffer various difficulties. Moreover, we have identified children in remote villages of the Anuradhapura district who are seeking educational support. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the officers of various institutions, Anuradhapura District Secretariat, and Divisional Secretariat, who assisted us in identifying children who require help, which is the most basic but most challenging task during the project, and to all those who voluntarily joined us on behalf of the Maliban Company. In addition to that, Maliban wishes to continue implementing this program for children in various areas in the future, to provide relief to parents in the current challenging situation. Despite the current situation of the country, we strongly believe that our priority is to fulfil our responsibilities for the welfare of the country and society.”
Maliban Yahagunayen Uttama Pranam program, the company offered Maliban Biscuits and Tea Dansala for a significant number of pilgrims who came to Anuradhapura on Poson Poya Day. Along with this the company also organised a wheelchair service; the Maliban team implemented the care services between the two sacred places for the elderly and disabled pilgrims who had difficulties seeing Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanweli Maha Saya. The Maliban team wishes to continue this precious initiative to continue its objective of inspiring goodness.
