INSEE Cement, the country’s leading cement manufacturer is extending an exclusive concessionary rate for its flagship homebuilding brand INSEE SANSTHA for all Sri Lankan Air Force and Navy personnel as well as retired and disabled servicemen through the Ranaviru Seva Authority.

This new initiative is an extension of the Phase I program launched in August, offering INSEE SANSTHA to Sri Lanka Army personnel.

The signing of the Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) took place on 7 December, at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in the presence of Ministry of Defence Secretary Major General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, and Ranaviru Seva Authority Chairman Major General (Retd) Nandana Senadeera.

Present on the occasion and attesting as representatives for each military department were Sri Lanka Air Force Director Welfare Air Vice Marshal D.K. Wanigasooriya, Sri Lanka Navy Director Naval Welfare Commodore P.N. Withanage, and Ranaviru Seva Authority Director Brigadier S.P.V.S. Subasinghe. INSEE Cement Chairman Nandana Ekanayake and Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Innovation Jan Kunigk represented the company.

“We are thrilled to be offering Sri Lanka’s most loved homebuilding cement brand SANSTHA to all armed forces personnel island-wide,” stated Nandana Ekanayake. “As a responsible corporate citizen, INSEE Cement believes that this is a great initiative to show our gratitude to the armed forces, our respect to personnel of all ranks, and also as an example to instil national-mindedness among Sri Lankans.”  INSEE Cement pays tribute to the armed forces who have been exemplary in their efforts to fight and contain the spread of COVID-19 across the country. Tri-forces personnel have been selflessly manning the frontlines, in the face of all forms of conflicts and disasters, protecting Sri Lankans from all walks of life. Over the years they have shouldered many burdens with determination; during the civil war, when the country faced natural disasters, and today, as the pandemic continues to engulf the country.

“It was important for us to show all servicemen, those active, retired or disabled, our appreciation, as a mark of respect and gratitude for the sacrifices they have made for us, especially during in these difficult times,” Ekanayake added.

All armed forces personnel will be able to purchase INSEE SANSTHA Cement from the welfare outlets of the respective tri-services camps and administrative locations island-wide.
