Having commenced banking operations in 1998, Seylan Bank celebrates 30 years of service this year. As one of the initiatives of the 30th anniversary celebrations, a Holy Mass in Thanksgiving will be held at the St. Joseph’s Church, Malwatte Thilanduwa, Negombo, on Saturday 28 April at 9:30 a.m. The Holy Mass will be conducted by Rev. Fr. Freely Muthukudaaractchi and Rev. Fr. Sandasiri Perera.
The Board of Directors, corporate management, staff and their families, along with the bank’s customers and well-wishers are expected to attend the event.
An all-night Pirith Ceremony followed by an almsgiving at the Seylan Bank Head Office and a special pooja at the Nallur Kovil has already been conducted as anniversary initiatives and the Islamic religious event is scheduled to take place in Puttalam shortly.
