Academy for Administrative Professionals, with a view of strengthening the cross cultural bonds amongst her fraternity, inaugurated a unique religious activity which will be a regular annual feature of the AAP calendar. A Sil program in this connection was organised on 12 August at the AAP Executive Director’s residence in Colombo 05.
AAP’s strict belief is that ‘Religion paves the way for equalisation, respect and unity’. Focusing on the one nation AAP embraced the multi religious combination in this religious activity. Accordingly Buddhists observed sil and Christian, Hindu, and Muslim fraternity looked after the devotees during the program.
It consisted of four dhamma preaches from Chief Incumbent of Borella Athula Dassana Temple Ven Borelle Athula Thero, Chief Incumbent of Pushparamya Temple in Kirulapone Ven Elkaduwe Nagitha Thero, Ven Bogahawewa RathnaThero and Ven Divithure Samantha Thero. Meditation, Pirith Chanting, distribution of dhamma books were also a part of the program.
The meritorious religious activity for AAP was hosted by the Jayaratne family to invoke blessings to late Sirisoma Jayaratne on his third death anniversary.
