NDB, the fastest growing banking conglomerate in the country announced its support and involvement in strategic initiatives held in lieu of the Commonwealth Heads of Governments’ Meeting (CHOGM) being held in Sri Lanka.
‘Reflection of Sri Lanka’
NDB considers it a notable honour to be associated with ‘Reflection of Sri Lanka’, an exposition of trade, tourism and investment that will be held from 13 to 17 November at the ‘Folk Art Centre’ in Battaramulla.
The event showcases products and services of over 600 exhibitors representing trade, tourism and investment, conforming to the highest quality and international standards. The exhibition, held under the guidance of the Ministry of Economic development, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Sri Lanka Tourism, Export Development Board and the Board of Investment, was inaugurated on 13 November by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
NDB will also be present at the exhibition sharing advice with the participants and visitors on the dedicated financial solutions available from the bank to the benefit of SMEs and grass root level entrepreneurs.
As a bank dedicated for national development, NDB takes pride in partnering this event that is expected to create exposure and position Sri Lankan products and services amidst the heads of governments, business leaders, international media personnel and other delegates visiting CHOGM.
Commonwealth Festival Orchestra Concert
NDB is also the proud sponsor of the Commonwealth Festival Orchestra Concert, hosted by the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka. The Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka will join hands with the ‘Commonwealth Orchestra’ in this prestigious event; that will bring together gifted musicians from diverse commonwealth countries for a gala evening of musical wizardry.
The concert will be held on 15 November 2013 at the Nelum Pokuna. The symbolic union of the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka with ‘The Commonwealth Resounds’ a cross-cultural musical organisation, that encapsulates the very essence of Commonwealth interaction will mark the significance of this cultural highlight.
