Commonwealth Foreign Ministers meet business leaders and civil society

Commonwealth Foreign Ministers met with business leaders and civil society representatives in Colombo for a roundtable discussion chaired by Sri Lanka’s Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris.
The discussion dealt at length on areas varying from corporate opportunities to business infrastructure.
Foreign Ministers and representatives from all Commonwealth countries participating in Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2013 were present at the roundtable discussion.
The Commonwealth, often described as a family of nations, organisations and people, includes three Inter-Government Organisations (IGOs), 10 Associated Organisations (AOs) and 72 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
The 10 Associated Organisations include the following:
1. Commonwealth Association for Public Administrators and Managers (CAPAM)
2. Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA)
3. Commonwealth Business Council (CBC)
4. Commonwealth Conference of Postal Administrators (CCPA)
5. Conference of Commonwealth Meteorologists (CCM)
6. The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF)
7. Commonwealth Education Trust (CET)
8. Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF)
9. The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA)
10. Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO)
