“To-date we have funded 20 businesses and we are very positive about the potential in this year’s list of finalists. Even though 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are selected at the finale, the strength of the Venture Engine platform is that each of the 11 businesses stands the chance to receive the funding they are looking for from any of the investors present at the event. There is little doubt of the entrepreneurial potential in Sri Lanka and we are pleased to be part of empowering these budding businesses,” said Blue Ocean Ventures Co-Founder Prajeeth Balasubramanium.

Created by Blue Ocean Ventures and the Indian Angel Network, Venture Engine is sponsored by Expolanka PLC, Orion City and Dialog Axiata, with the Lankan Angel Network supporting the event as a strategic partner.
