Venora International Projects Ltd. was awarded the Global award for ‘Quality & Business Prestige’ at the recently-held OMAC Awards organised by the Association of Other Ways Management and Consulting (OMAC). OMAC is a Member of the American Management Association and a Member of the American Marketing Association.
The award was accepted by the Venora Group’s Chairman/Managing Director Deshamanya Sagara Gunawardana. More than 50 companies from 50 countries were presented Awards at the event. This prestigious international award is a fitting accolade for Venora which reflects the company’s efforts to achieve constant improvements in development in its field.
Venora International is one of the leading companies in the field of electrical engineering and telecommunications in Sri Lanka. The company gained ICTAD EM1 category registration in 2007 and has achieved ISO 9001 quality certification. Venora international also became the first Sri Lankan company in accordance with the UK Trade Marks Act 1994 and EBA Awards to have the license which enables the company to use the trademark ‘Best Enterprise’ and ‘The Manager’ of the year in Sri Lanka at the Socrates Award – London 2013.
In the past Venora International has received the several global and local awards for its contribution to the construction field such as the Arch of Europe for Quality and Technology Award – Frankfurt 2012 and The Global Award for Perfection, Quality and Ideal Performance – Italy 2012.
Venora has expanded rapidly over the past 13 years and has links with the Export market too. The Venora Group of companies consist of Venora International Projects Ltd., Venora Telecom Ltd., Venora Industrial Solutions Ltd. and Venora Lanka Power Panels.
The company also established its latest venture at the Biyagama Free Trade Zone, a fully owned subsidiary called Venora Lanka Power Panels Ltd., which assembles power panels for the export market.
The company has also successfully completed major electrical installations in the tea, leisure and high-rise industries and many other projects in several sectors in countries such as the Maldives and Seychelles.
