Considered one of the landmark events in the Unilever Sri Lanka calendar, the Annual Sales Conference kicked off in grand style at Waters Edge on 27 January 2012.
It was an event to appreciate the perseverance and dedication of the sales team in achieving the 2011 targets and to recognise and celebrate the top performers. It was also a day to set out the sales targets and expectations for the forthcoming year.
The conference theme was ‘Reaching Supremacy’ and the underlying message focused on strengthening and expanding the ‘Unilever Fortress’ in Sri Lanka. The event kicked off with a review of the sales channel-wise achievements during the past year, showcasing the various initiatives implemented. This was followed by a review of Unilever’s brand performance during the year and setting out the brand objectives for 2012.
The climax of the evening was the annual sales awards to those sales personnel and Business Partners who had excelled. This was traditionally the time to appreciate the untiring efforts of the sales team, who day in and day out, in sunshine and rain, relentlessly pursue the sales goals, breaking new ground and setting new benchmarks in the marketplace.
The top performers, ranging from the sales representatives and merchandisers to sales managers were recognised and rewarded. The top award for the ‘Best Business Partner’ in 2011 went out to Calton Distributors, Negombo.
