The Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM) is organising the SLASSCOM Quality Engineering and Business Excellence Summit 2015, with the focus on business transformation in the era of technical disruption through quality engineering and business excellence on 30 September from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the Galadari Hotel.
The objective of the summit is to promote Sri Lanka as a destination for product engineering while focusing on driving the IT/BPM industries to the next wave of growth, developing enterprise capability with adoption of international standards of quality, security and governance.
The summit will commence with a keynote speech by Dr. Lal Gunasinghe, Head of Continuous Improvement Initiatives, Singapore Airlines, speaking on ‘Continuous Improvement as a Fundamental Requirement for Businesses’.
Subsequently, Garnes Gruppen AS (Norway) Group CEO Tore Foss will speak on ‘the Criteria of Quality in the Age of Big Data and Industrial IoT’. The main program will conclude with a panel discussion featuring industry experts Chandika Mendis from Virtusa, Conrad Dias from Lanka Orix Leasing Company who will be joined by the keynote speakers and the moderator of the discussion Sisira Kumara from MillenniumIT.
The afternoon will consist of two parallel track sessions: one focusing on quality engineering and the other on business excellence.
The quality engineering track which is targeted at software quality professionals, business analysts and project managers will feature three speakers sharing insights on such topics as ‘Next Generation Performance Engineering’, ‘Quality Engineering for Mission Critical Systems’ and going ‘beyond Traditional Mobile Testing’.
Industry expert speakers representing some of the most well-known organisations such as Pearson, MillenniumIT and Auxenta will be conducting these sessions.
The business excellence track is targeted at process managers, CXOs and product managers. This track will contain three sessions featuring experts from Exilesoft, Accenture and the Academy of Design on maintaining quality from a remote team context, Lean Management in a Business Context and Visual Communication with User Centric Design.
