Three Chinese nationals who are claimed to have visited Sri Lanka for business purposes were arrested by Police on charge of staying in the country illegally without valid visas.
When the three Chinese men were produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage, they were ordered to be remanded till 23 May.
The three Chinese nationals Liu Wung, Juki Wuyun and Liu Humin had been arrested by the Colpetty Police when they were loitering on a street in Colpetty. They had told Police that they were engaging in business activities in Sri Lanka.
Police further alleged that the suspects had committed punishable offence, which fall under Section 45 (1) of the Immigrants and Emigrants Act.
