SriLankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, has been appointed the official airline of the Commonwealth Business Forum, an integral segment of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2013).
The Forum, themed ‘Partnering for Wealth Creation and Social Development; The Commonwealth, Indian Ocean and SAARC’ will be held from 12-14 November in Colombo with Heads of Government and several international business leaders in attendance.
Ultimate meeting point
It will offer an ideal opportunity for the Commonwealth countries to explore new avenues of investment, build up new partnerships and collectively seek solutions for global trade and investment issues.
The Forum, which will focus on regional development, sustainable growth of rural economies, tourism and hospitality, is also aimed at providing an ultimate meeting point for entrepreneurs, investors, government bodies and global technology and knowledge based industries’ specialists.
Pivotal role
