Sri Lanka Tourism unveiled its new campaign during the recently concluded World Travel Market in London. The new initiative features wildlife tourism as its central theme, which had hitherto taken a backseat in the Tourism Ministry’s marketing ventures.

According to a report in Travel Daily India, the Tourist Board is planning to promote specific aspects of nature tourism, such as bird or butterfly watching, for example. There are eight key product points in the new campaign, namely, Sri Lanka’s heritage, beaches, sports, adventure, wellness, scenery, friendly people and festival tourism
