Continuing with their initiative to take the message of governance to the provinces The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) will be heading to Trincomalee this week end to conduct a seminar titled ‘Conducting Business Responsibly’.
The venue will be the Chaaya Blu Hotel Trincomalee and it will be conducted in collaboration with the Trincomalee District Chamber of Commerce tomorrow (15).
This program will be addressing key areas to promote professionalism amongst directors and will be conducted in Tamil and Sinhalese targeting chairpersons, directors, CEOs, and senior managers of private and public companies and partners and sole proprietors as well. Well experienced resource persons will handle the topics, ‘The company as a legal entity and the minimum requirements on compliance’; ‘Corporate governance’ and ‘Minimum finance, accounting and tax issues’.
SLID has very successfully conducted similar seminars in Kandy and in Ratnapura, both of which have been exceptionally well attended and received.
Plans are afoot to move next to the Southern province to Hambantota, where SLID will be in collaboration with the Hambantota District Chamber of Commerce.
