Serendib Flour Mills Silver sponsor of Pro-Food Pro-Pack Exhibition

Serendib Flour Mills recently extended its support to the Pro-Food Pro-Pack Exhibition as the Silver sponsor of the event for the second consecutive year. The exhibition was attended by many high profile delegates including former Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake and Secretary to the Ministry of Industries S. S. Miyanawala.

The exhibition, organised by the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association (SLFPA), was held at the BMICH for the 14th successive year. The Pro-Food Pro-Pack Exhibition is the most comprehensive food, beverage and packaging exhibition that is held in Sri Lanka. The exhibition comprised over 300 stalls from over 20 countries and showcased local and international food processing and packaging companies and promoted a diverse range of food, cuisines and services.

The three-day event was a great success for Serendib Flour Mills as the stall drew the attention of many participants. Showcasing a wide range of Serendib’s very own flour varieties such as All Purpose Wheat Flour, Atta Flour, Wholemeal Flour and Cake Flour in one kg formats, as well as Semolina in half kg formats, the stall also featured demonstrations on how to make a variety of flour based products. 

The stall provided customers with cooking tips and recipes, and it gave them the chance to find out more about the ‘7 Star’ range and sample items made from different varieties of flour. At the stall, an audio visual presentation was also shown, highlighting Serendib Flour Mills’ state-of-the-art production facility and milling processes.  

Previously Serendib Flour Mills was shortlisted as the ‘Best Decorated Stall’, and this year, the company designed its stall to represent a traditional bakery with a brick oven, which would typically be found in a village setting.
