Seminar on ‘Temporary Importation for Export Processing Scheme (TIEP)’ today

The Spices and Allied Products Producers’ and Traders’ Association (SAPPTA), in association with Sri Lanka Customs and the Ministry of Primary Industries, will hold a seminar under the theme ‘Temporary Importation for Export Processing Scheme (TIEP)’ today (13) from 2.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the ground floor auditorium of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, No. 50, Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 2.

The seminar will be conducted by three prominent industry experts, Thilak Arumapperuma Arachchi - Superintendent of Customs, Sri Lanka Customs Bond Division; Nalaka Ratnayake – Manager, Export Shipping Department of Hayleys Plc; and Bandula Wickramarachchi - Secretary to the Ministry of Primary Industries.  Accordingly, the participants will be given a comprehensive understanding of the Customs procedures under the TIEP Scheme (TIEP 1 and TIEP 4) and its practical implications for trade and facilities offered by the Ministry of Primary Industries.
