The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the pioneering industry chamber in the country, has scheduled a one-day seminar entitled ‘Budget Highlights 2016’, to be conducted on 9 December from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm at Hotel Ramada (Liberty Ballroom)
The CNCI Secretariat believes that many organisations are desirous of clearing doubts and issues on the subject of taxation pertaining to them. The scheduled seminar is expected to cover the areas of Income Tax, VAT, NBT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, ESC and Basic Provisions in tax administration and the proposals the 2016 Budget has brought about for these areas.
The seminar has been specially designed for those who are involved in finance, payroll management, administration, human resource management and any others interested. Training consists of a panel discussion, where the participants will have an opportunity to seek clarifications on any issues concerned.
The main objective of the seminar, which has been organised together with the Inland Revenue Department, seeks to educate private sector organisations regarding the proposed amendments to the said tax areas with the 2016 Budget.
The seminar will be conducted by M.A.C.D. Chandrasiri – Assistant Commissioner Secretariat (IRD) and other senior officials from IRD who are experienced in the field and possess good training skills. For registration and further details contact the Chamber Secretariat on 2339200 or 2452181.
