Second life and career skills workshop on 12 September

The second in a series of workshops on ‘You Can Change Your Life and Reach Your Dreams – What every Employer Wants from You’ – will be held on Saturday 12 September from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Automobile Association Auditorium (next to Hotel Ramada).

This workshop is invaluable for all human resource and learning and development managers; graduating students from schools and universities; and all employees who need to improve their soft skills, competencies and develop the skills required to add value to organisations in Sri Lanka and the global economy.

The following topics will be addressed: What you must know about  the demands of  new global economy; Developing the skills needed to build the career/job of your dreams; Identify and maximise your talents; Making the right choices in life; How to defeat negativism and overcome adversity; Developing the right attitude and mindset; How to stand out in a job interview; What every employer wants from you; How to be a valuable member of your team in the workplace; Improving your English communication and presentation skills.

 The workshop will again be led by Gerard D. Muttukumaru, an Adjunct Professor of Global Business, MBA and Executive Education Programs, California, USA and Chairman, Center for Global Leadership Worldwide LLC (USA). He and his organisation have led numerous senior management corporate education programs in Sri Lanka and Asia. The updated edition of his 2004 book on the new global economy will be published internationally in 2015. He addresses audiences worldwide and has been interviewed and published extensively in Sri Lanka and internationally.
