Sampath Leasing and Factoring Limited (SLFL) a fully owned subsidiary of Sampath Bank PLC and the largest subsidiary of the bank won the silver award in the specialised leasing company category at the 48th ICASL Annual Report Awards competition organised by the Institute of Charted Accountants of Sri Lanka recently at the Water’s Edge, Battaramulla.
S.G. Wijesinha, Deputy Chairman of Sampath Leasing and Factoring Ltd. received the coveted award from Sujeewa Rajapakse, President of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
Focusing on the continuous growth and new product introductions to the financial sector, the company’s annual report was themed ‘Look at our Expansion’. The report predominantly highlighted the innovation and new opportunities Sampath Leasing and Factoring bestowed to the local clientele.
Roshan Nanayakkara, CEO of Sampath Leasing and Factoring Ltd., reiterated, “Winning the silver award for the second consecutive year is a significant achievement.
We were able to communicate our corporate objectives, highlight our performance, elucidate on our key performance indicators and governance practices.”
Sampath Leasing and Factoring Limited winning the silver award in the specialised leasing companies category was a significant and commendable achievement as this being only its second year of competing for the award.
The company also won the silver award at the event held last year as well.
The award showcased outstanding reporting standards practiced by the company in endorsing significant elements such as transparency, good governance, sustainability and social responsibility within the organisation.
