S.R. Metals clarifies

With reference to “Third Exporters forum forges ahead” published in yesterday’s Daily FT, S.R. Metals has sent the following clarification.

The article says “thereafter S.R. Metals, a scrap metals firm thanked the forum for resolving the issue regarding Removing the ban of export of scrap metal.”

The above statement is incorrect, as we have never said to the Ministry of Industry & Commerce at third exporters forum that we thank for resolving the issue regarding removing the ban of export of scrap metal.

However our request to the Min-istry and Exporters forum was to allow exports of 8mm copper wire rods as our product is a value added product carrying 35% value addition.
