Dickwella Estate, Hali Ela, owned and managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations Plc, improved on its own record high of Rs. 800 per kilogram for the Uva Medium BOPF grade, by selling a parcel of a similar grade at Rs. 860 per kilogram, at the Tea Auctions held on 29 August.
This high quality Uva seasonal tea was bought by Bosanquet & Skrine Ltd. and sold by Asia Siyaka Commodities Ltd.
New Vithanakande Tea Factory, Delwala, in the Sabaragamuwa District, owned and managed by N.B.H. Pilapitiya, achieved a record price of Rs. 810 per kilogram for an invoice of OP1 grade at the Tea Auctions held on 29 August.
This tea bought by Watawala Trading Ltd. for Rishi Tea in USA and sold by Asia Siyaka Commodities Ltd.
