The Consumer Consultative Committee of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is organising a discussion to obtain feedback from large scale industrial consumers regarding electrical power generation and distribution issues in the country.
The upcoming discussion, which is to be held on 11 June at the Ceylon Chamber, is aimed at conducting a dialogue with the industrial consumers regarding emerging trends of electricity generation and possible tariff changes in the future.
PUCSL Director General Damitha Kumarasinghe, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Secretary General/CEO Mangala Yapa, PUCSL CCC Chairman Eng. (Dr.) Jayantha Ranatunga, LECO General Manager H.N. Gunasekera, Resource Management Associated Ltd Managing Director Dr. Thilak Siyambalapitiya, Ceylon Electricity Board Chief Engineer (Generation Planning) M.B.S. Samarasekera and PUCSL Consumer Consultative Committee Srilal Miththapala will be among the speakers and panellists at the discussion.
The discussion which will start at 2:30 p.m. will focus on topics such as the ‘Overview of the Current Generation Mix’ and ‘Short Term Capacity and Current Tariff Structure and Future Plans’.
