President seeks suggestions from Economic Development Ministry for Budget 2012

President Mahinda Rajapaksa in a series of discussions on Budget 2012 held a discussion with the Minister of Economic development and his officials last week at Temple Trees.

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa explaining a detailed analysis stressed the need to include macro-economic plans in the budget proposal.

The Secretary of the Minister of Economic Development Dr. P.B. Jayasundara giving his views at the pre-budget discussions 2012 forwarded a set of macroeconomic plans to be implemented in 2011-2015 for consideration of 2012 budget. According to the plans, the per capita income is expected to reach $ 5000 by 2015.

 

Minister Rajapaksa addressing the discussions said that it was essential to teach different languages to students in order to meet the demands of the booming tourism Industry.
