Pravir takes over as Overseas Realty CEO

Pravir Samarasinghe has been appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Company with effect from 10 March 2011.

Samarasinghe is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and holds an MBA.

He has 25 years of experience in a wide spectrum of business ranging from retail, manufacture, export, plantations to financial services including 20 years in management of which 10 years was in top management leading and driving business performance to record growth.

Prior to joining ORCPLCS Samarasinghe was the group director/ Chief Operating Officer of Richard Pieris and Company, a diversified business conglomerate.

He is also a director of several quoted and unquoted companies. Samarasinghe is a past president of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Sri Lanka and former Council Member CIMA UK. He is ‘the Senior Vice Chairman of the industrial Association of Sri Lanka and Committee Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the National Labour Advisory Council.
