PJ’s organic farm on battlefield

Paradise Earth Farms, a subsidiary of PJ Hotels (Pvt) Limited, has started its first organic farm on a former battlefield and LTTE stronghold. The very first Sri Lankan agri-tourism project will also be on this farm.

The land owned by PJ’s Associates is worked and managed entirely by local Tamil residents. That perfect racial harmony and integration have been achieved here just one year after the conclusion of a 30 year war is undoubted.

“We have only proved what we always believed that the Sinhalese and Tamils have a natural empathy stemming from their common roots,” affirmed Chairman of the PJ Group Prasanna W. Jayewardene. “Building on this success our plans for organic farming and specialised tourism in the north and east are going forward apace.”

“Our Chairman has planned three new concepts, quite apart from our one of a kind ‘Isle of Agnes,’” said Amara Galagoda, PJ Group Spokesperson.
