Islamabad: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will organise a Single Country Exhibition in Sri Lanka in January 2016, TDAP said in a press release.
During the recent visit of the President of Pakistan to Sri Lanka it was decided that both countries would organise Single Country Exhibitions which will be supported by the relevant authorities, TDAP said.
The exhibition is being organised under the patronage and support of Government of Sri Lanka. It will be held at the BMICH in Colombo from 15 to 17 January 2016.
The High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka is putting all efforts to make this event successful, TDAP said. A large number of people is expected to visit the event.
Major components of the Single Country Exhibition will be exhibition display, business to business meetings and Pakistani cuisine festival.
Renowned companies from textile, agro, engineering, marble and granite, handicrafts, garments and accessories, and jewellery sectors will participate in the event.
The exhibition will be a true showcase of the progressive Pakistan with collective presence of top Pakistani brands in the event, TDAP said.
Under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, which is operational from 12 June 2005, the two countries have agreed to offer preferential market access to each other’s exports by way of granting tariff concessions.
