Nature’s Secrets wins National Green Award

Nature’s Secrets, Sri Lanka’s top herbal cosmetics brand, which is now reaching out to the world in its journey towards creating a global brand for Sri Lanka, was awarded a prestigious National Green Award from the Central Environmental Authority (under the Ministry of Environment).

The award was conferred for its commitment and demonstrated leadership in conserving natural resources, managing and minimising waste and controlling the use of non renewable resources.

The National Green Award is yet another accolade for Nature’s Secrets, the only cosmetics brand in the island to be manufactured under European recognised GMp, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Nature’s Beauty Creations (NBC), the manufacturer of Nature’s Secrets, was the only company to be awarded a National Green Award 2011 from the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Nature’s Beauty Creations’ ultra-modern and purpose-built factory provides modern cosmetology to transform the age-old tradition of herbal remedies into world class cosmetic creations. The placid green terrain around Nature’s Beauty Creations comprises of over 400 rare and time-tested herbal medicinal plants and over 70 aquatic plant species.

NBC has also become an educational centre for Sri Lankan school children and university students, providing them a valuable insight into a success story of an environmentally sustainable industry.

Nature’s Secrets has taken scientific research and development to new heights, by establishing Sri Lanka’s first privately-owned plant research centre in the country, along with a modern plant tissue culture laboratory. The latter propagates and distributes rare and valuable medicinal plants amongst Sri Lankans, with the aim of increasing their availability and preserving them for future generations.
