The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will hold its 54th Annual General Meeting on today at the Grand Crystal Ballroom of Taj Samudra, Colombo.
The business session will commence at 5 p.m. followed by the ceremonial session at 6 p.m. The Chief Guest for the ceremonial session of the Annual General Meeting will be Dr. Sarath Amunugama, MP, Senior Minister for International Monetary Co-operation and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning and the Guest of Honour will be Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Prof. Uditha Liyanage, Director of Postgraduate Institute of Management will be the keynote speaker who will speak on ‘Branding Sri Lanka.’ The new council for 2013 will be elected at the Annual General Meeting. Although this is the 54th Annual General Meeting, the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, founded in 1948, completes 65 years service to the nation’s business community.
